1. Water

Start by filling a spray bottle with warm water and then lightly mist over the sheets so they are damp.

Follow by pulling the bedding and smoothing out the creases with your hand to smooth out the fabric.

The expert said: “Like magic, within five minutes the wrinkles will disappear.”

2. Damp socks or towel

If your sheets are still wrinkled after drying, stick them in the tumble dryer with damp socks or a damp towel to steam out wrinkles.

Don’t miss… [WARNING]

The moisture from the damp items can help to relax wrinkles and stop deep creases from forming on sheets.

3. Ice cubs

The expert noted: “Throwing ice cubs into the tumble dryer with your bedding can smooth things out.

“Use two to three ice cubes and put the dryer on high heat for 15 minutes, spinning at a low speed.

“The ice cubes will melt into the steam and make the sheets wrinkle-free.”

4. Don’t overload

Overloading the washing machine and tumble dryer can cause sheets to become tangled and encourage wrinkles, so it’s important to wash them separately.

The bedding expert said: “Leaving plenty of room in the machine will help avoid wrinkled bedding.”

5. Use low temperatures

Washing at a low temperature and tumble dry at low heat can help to achieve smooth wrinkle-free bedding.

Cold water is less damaging to the majority of fabrics, according to the expert, including cotton and linen.
