With Our Yorkshire Farm’s set to star in his own TV show, his mum, shared details of her family life as they first found fame when the Channel 5 series was released in 2018.
Speaking to Stuart Maconie on the ‘s Loose Ends, Amanda opened up as she revealed what it was like for children after the overnight success of six years ago.
She said: “To them, it was water off a duck’s back. Because we’re just doing our thing it doesn’t touch you.
“I still feel like we have the benefit of living where we do, we still have that isolation where we can let the world in as and when we choose.”

She added: “In a way it sort of skews things and turns it the other way, in other words, I’m happy when they’re incommunicado.
“I’m not worrying about them because I know that they might be climbing up something, or digging something, or crafting something, or constructing something, or on a horse, and I think that’s wonderful.”
Making a name for himself on the iconic farm alongside his family, Reuben is now set to appear in another show of his own, where he will be joined by his best friend Tommy, and his younger siblings, Sid and Miles, in Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales at 9pm tonight (December 4).

He made his first steps away from his family earlier this year when Reuben: My Life in the Dales was released on Channel 5, and the 21-year-old hinted back then that there could be more TV appearances on the way.
Reuben told the Farmers Guardian podcast: “Yeah, we’ll see what happens, but I think there’ll be something going on. You’ll just have to keep an eye out for it.”
As he looks to continue the success of his last series, he reitertated that he is fully focused on his career in farming: “Career wise, we just carry on with what we’re doing with the diggers, I think this is the plan.
“But you never really have a set plan, because if you make a plan you never stick to it, so we just see what happens. We’re doing the odd telly project here and there but we’re mainly just sat on the old diggers.”
