Queen Camilla arriving at Buckingham Palace for today’s state visit
has revealed to guests during a state visit that her recent chest infection was actually pneumonia.
is battling post-viral fatigue and has been advised by her doctors to take additional time for recovery, causing her to miss the outdoor activities of the Qatari visit.
It’s been clarified that Camilla’s illness was viral rather than bacterial, and she no longer suffers from pneumonia.
The Queen was welcome at Horse Guards Parade on Tuesday due to the cold weather.
Instead, she made her appearance at just before the event, offering a smile as she alighted from her car at the Grand Entrance.

Camilla had to miss multiple engagements due to her poor health.
Camilla, aged 77, awaited the Amir of Qatar and his wife indoors, in the cosy environment of the Grand Hall.
Her chest infection was contracted following an extensive trip to Australia and Samoa, leading her to withdraw from several engagements since then, including the Royal Variety Performance, the Gladiator II premiere, and the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph.
It’s understood that the Queen for her pneumonia, but she is now experiencing episodes of severe fatigue.
A royal source said: “Some days the Queen is on really good form. It’s just one of those things. She has lost the coughing but the lingering side of it is bouts of extreme tiredness. There has to be a degree of flex in the Queen’s diary at the moment.”

Today, Camilla was sapotted arriving at Buckingham Palace at 12:10pm, ready to greet the Amir of Qatar and his wife at the royal residence.
The Qatari royals will enjoy have lunch at the palace before attending a special exhibition in the Picture Gallery of items from the Royal Collection Trust and Turquoise Mountain Foundation relating to Qatar.
Camilla will be present at the lunch on the royal party’s return and is also hoping to view the exhibition in the Picture Gallery.
Doctors have urged her to take time off because of the , contracted a month ago following her long-haul trip to Australia and Samoa.
