One of those operations took place five years ago after the Black Sabbath singer suffered a fall in the middle of the night at his LA home.

When Ozzy crashed to his bathroom floor, he believed he was paralysed and called out to wife for help.

He said: “I saw this big white flash when I hit the floor, and I thought, ‘You’ve finally done it now’. I knew it was bad, I thought I was paralysed, so very calmly I said, ‘Sharon, I can’t move. I think I’ve done my neck. Phone an ambulance.”

The fall also aggravated damage to his neck and back, caused by an injury he picked up during a quad-bike crash in 2003.

Some of the metal rods that were placed in his back as a result of this accident were dislodged during the spinal surgery in 2019.

Although Ozzy’s Parkinson’s has often been held accountable for his problems, he confided to The Sun that it was actually that surgery.

“I mean, when I came off the quad bike in 2003, I still did tours and I had Parkinson’s back then. It was THAT f——g surgery,” he said.

Reflecting on the spinal surgery, Ozzy remarked: “I went to the doctor’s and you assume everybody knows what they’re doing. My son Jack has a video of me going into surgery, saying, ‘I’ll see you in a few minutes’. I haven’t walked properly since.”
