Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the Fraser Valley ending late Tuesday morning
The fog is expected to lead to near zero visibility in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the Fraser Valley including Abbotsford.
“A ridge of high pressure which is anchoring over southern B.C. will provide a conducive environment for dense fog formation. Dense fog is expected to lift by tomorrow late morning,” the agency stated in a report issued at 5 p.m.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to the reduced visibility, with drivers asked to turn lights on and maintain a safe following distance.
