Manchester United have added RB Leipzig defender David Raum to their shortlist ahead of ‘s first summer transfer window, according to reports. Amorim is expected to recruit a left-wing-back next year as he sets out to reshape United’s squad to his vision after succeeding last month.
And by targeting Raum, the Portuguese head coach could twist the knife into Ten Hag further if he returns to work in Leipzig.

Talks are said to have developed as far as the finances involved, indicating that Ten Hag was deeply interested in bringing the 26-year-old to Old Trafford.
It’s claimed that Raum is viewed as an excellent fit for Amorim’s 3-4-3 system and that United will monitor him for the remainder of the season.
The report adds that his agency, ROOF, boast strong ties to the , which would help orchestrate a transfer.
Raum has previously admitted that a switch to the English top flight would be a “dream,” which will fuel links to United if the transfer interest ripens.

“To be honest, I have no idea what will happen after the season, but I have a contract here, and everything is great,” Raum told Bild’s Phrasenmaher podcast.
“You know how it is in football. I feel very comfortable here, and I see my future in Leipzig.

Raum, currently sidelined through an ankle injury, is under contract in Leipzig until 2027. The Bundesliga side would, therefore, likely demand more than the £25million they paid Hoffenheim two years ago.
