A third-round pick by the Canucks in the 2023 NHL Draft, Mynio (upper body, day-to-day) hasn’t played for the Thunderbirds since Nov. 8, missing their past nine games including Sunday’s 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Giants at the Langley Events Centre.
Team Canada historically runs with seven defencemen at world juniors.
Mynio was one of 13 defencemen to go to Team Canada’s summer camp. He put up 16 goals and 53 points in 63 regular season games in 2023-24.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound left-shot rearguard has four goals and 17 points in 15 games this season with Seattle.
With all that in mind, here’s our latest list. Last week’s ranking is in parenthesis. Players must be born in 2000 or later to be considered, and they aren’t eligible when they’re playing with the big club.
