The iconic comedian will take to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre stage on Feb. 23. The festival, which will be celebrating its ninth Vancouver edition, runs Feb. 13-23. The full festival lineup will be revealed next week.

Who is Jerry Seinfeld?

Seinfeld has been a top-drawing comedian for decades. He also, along with fellow comedian Larry David, co-created and starred in TV’s most successful comedy sitcom Seinfeld. Over its nine seasons on NBC, it earned numerous Emmy, and Golden Globe awards. It was named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide, and in 2012 a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll said it was the best sitcom ever.

Seinfeld’s latest resume entries include the films Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, which he starred in, directed and co-wrote and Jerry Before Seinfeld and 23 Hours to Kill.

Other career standouts include the highly acclaimed web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and the movies Comedian and Bee Movie. There are also three best-selling books: Is This Anything?, Seinlanguage, and The Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Book.

Just For Laughs Vancouver is one of Canada’s largest comedy festivals, bringing top-notch comedy talent from around the world to multiple venues around Vancouver.

During its run Just for Laughs Vancouver has hosted many comedy heavyweights including John Mulaney, Bill Burr, Trevor Noah, Hannah Gadsby, Marc Maron, The Office Ladies, Wanda Sykes, Margaret Cho and Maria Bamford. Alongside the bold type names the festival has also been a big supporter of local talent and each year hosts the popular curated series, Best of the West.
