’s hit reality show saw the star-studded cast of face a major rule change when it came to using the toilet.
The campmates were split into teams of four, and each was given a cash card to use for access to basic essentials including shower gel and the use of the toilet.
In another twist, it was also revealed that cash could only be added to the card once they competed in games to earn money.
While the celebrities took on the new challenge, the concept didn’t sit well with viewers who took to social media to the stars were forced to undertake.
Former campmate Gillian McKeith also shared her thoughts about the change as she opened up about a “disgusting” co-star who urinated outside of the designated dunny.

Gillian reflected: ”There was a lot of controversy this week with stars having to ‘pay’ to go to the toilet. What do you think of this? It’s been called dangerous by some fans – do you agree?
“Paying to go to the toilet was a for constipation or bladder issues if the campmates decided to hold it all in rather than answer the call of nature.
“The campmates prioritised other choices over bathroom breaks. Madness.”
The wellness expert continued: “Of course, there’s nothing to stop the campmates doing their ‘business’ somewhere else in the foliage of the jungle if they were absolutely desperate.”

Gillian added: “But they all seemed willing to risk getting ‘stopped up’ regardless. They could have pooed or wee-wee’d in a bush if they did not want to pay for the privilege.”
Reflecting on her 2010 appearance on the show, she revealed: “When I was in the jungle, a couple of the male campmates actually did a few of their number ones (wees) downstream where we washed the cutlery and meal containers.
“What on earth!! Absolutely disgusting, it was…Some of the campmate habits really get to you after a while.”
The TV star remarked: “If you care about cleanliness and are a bit OCD about it, you end up with worse OCD by the end.”
Although Gillian didn’t name the campmate, the male participants that year were Shaun Ryder, Dom Joly, Aggro Santos, Linford Christie, Lembit Opik and Nigel Havers.
