Strictly Come Dancing’s Johannes Radebe and his celebrity partner Montell Douglas were visibly emotional as they opened up about their departure from the show, promising it wasn’t the final time they would dance together.
Despite a heartfelt Rumba to ‘I’m Here’ from The Colour Purple on Saturday night, which earned them a solid 32 points, the couple couldn’t escape elimination after landing in the bottom two, with all four judges opting to save and Aljaz Skorjanec instead.
The beloved pair became the 10th to leave the ‘s flagship dance contest. They later joined Fleur East on Monday’s edition of the Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, where emotions ran high, reports .
Johannes couldn’t hold back his admiration for Montell during the show, expressing: “She treated this whole experience like a ‘true’ pro.
“Montell absolutely surprised me in the most beautiful way, the way she tackled everything and every time I walked into rehearsals I just thought this woman is not real – she is unreal and that’s what I say, Strictly is very lucky to have her and I mean that.”

Montell, reflecting on her time on the show, turned to Johannes with gratitude, saying: “Firstly the show has brought this amazing man into my life.”
She emotionally shared: “The way things make you feel is better than what you do and that’s the journey for me and I’ve had the best time. I’ve grown in myself and my confidence has skyrocketed and I’ve just enjoyed the experience.”

Choking up, she further confessed: “I never imagined that I would be here now at week 11 and I can finally say that I am so proud of what I’ve been able to achieve on Strictly and it is an unbelievable experience for me.”
Yet, fans will be thrilled to learn this isn’t a final farewell, as Fleur excitedly announced their return to the dance floor, stating: “And you’re not hanging up your heels just yet Montell because we are going to be seeing you on the tour.”
