Ruben Amorim has admitted he ‘doesn’t like’ his new chant made up by the faithful.

Amorim has enjoyed a stellar start to life in charge of the Red Devils, winning two and drawing one of his opening three matches in charge.

On the back of the misery of ‘s tenure, United fans have welcomed the new Amorim era with open arms.

That’s included a new chant for the former Sporting manager Amorim, which goes to the tune of Give It Up by KC & The Sunshine Band.

Commenting on the chant, Amorim said: “I don’t like my chant. I don’t like it. I feel a little bit, not embarrassed, but because I’m the coach, they have to chant for the players and for the club. So it’s not a good thing for me.

“I understand and really appreciate the connection with the supporters, but I want them to support the team and the players because they are on the pitch and I’m outside the pitch.

“But I’m really honoured by that, I feel a connection with the supporters but we know we need results to maintain that.”
