Loose Women’s Jane Moore slammed over ‘cruel’ comment she made to I’m A Celebrity co-star

Former star Kim Woodburn has hit out at Jane Moore, following her comments about the washing-up in camp this series. Before becoming the first celebrity to leave the jungle, Jane, 62, suggested Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones assigning her washing-up duties was “sexist and ageist”.

Despite later clarifying that she was joking, Kim, 82, criticised Jane’s remarks as “cruel” towards Barry. “At that time, she hadn’t done one trial [when] she was given those dishes, so she’s done very well [for] nearly two weeks,” Kim stated.

“And to say [‘sexist’] to Barry the boxer, who you know is such a quiet man, I thought, Oh Jane, that man hasn’t got a sexist bone in his body, come on!”

In association with , Kim went on to say she also didn’t believe the star when she said her comments were a joke.

She ranted: “Sitting on your backside not doing a dish, who do you think you are? Who they hell do you think you are?”, adding: “Please, if I had two minutes with her, I’d wipe the damn floor with her.”

Kim also suggested she’d be willing to return to the jungle for the right price to add some much-needed drama to the show.

On what she’d say to Jane if she was still in there, she added: “[Barry] wouldn’t harm a fly, he’s a gentle chappy, that was cruel.

“If I had been in there I would’ve said, ‘Listen you, you haven’t even done a trial, why shouldn’t you do the dishes? Lazy a**e’. I would’ve said that to her.”

Not stopping there, the outspoken reality star also took a swipe at Jane’s Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford, who has been a guest on the show’s spin-off.

The Celebrity Big Brother star claimed booking Ruth was “a waste of money” and went on to slam producers for allegedly cancelling her own appearance in favour of Gillian McKeith.

Meanwhile, Jane has defended herself against critics following her jungle stint.

Speaking on Loose Women on Monday, she explained that her reluctance to do the washing-up was due to exhausation from other hard chores in camp, that may not have been seen on camera.

Addressing her comments towards Barry and Danny, she also echoed that she was joking, in an interview with The Sun.

“I was 100 per cent winding them up and teasing them.

“Danny got it straight away. Barry… I think he thought I was serious, and I very quickly said to him, ‘Barry, I’m winding you up. Don’t worry about it’.”
