2024 was quite the year for reunions. As a nation, we were spoiled when announced that they will put their differences aside and make more musical memories together.
Fans were also sent into meltdown when Girls Aloud announced they would be touring in celebration of band member Sarah Harding, who lost her battle with breast cancer back in 2021.
This bittersweet reunion echos a similar situation with . Following the death of , die-hard fans have been calling for the boy band to reunite one last time.
In this case, the chances would be pretty good in the future. Whether or not it would be a one-time deal or a pop up at a festival, One Direction getting back together would break the internet.
But I don’t think they should. I have always had one reunion hope with a different pop band which has never really gone away. Just imagine if The Saturdays decided to give it another go?

I believe it would certainly be one of the hottest tickets in the UK, and certainly give Girls Aloud a serious challenge.
For those who don’t remember, The Saturdays consisted of five members: Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, and Vanessa White.
The band have been on hiatus since 2014, so technically they haven’t broken up. But they stopped releasing music in 2015 and a few of them fell pregnant and one got a divorce.
Each singer has embarked on different careers, from Frankie being on as a panellist to Mollie working on Radio as a broadcaster.
Vanessa did one stint on and Una recently found new love after ex-husband Ben Foden cheated on her back in 2018.

Rochelle Humes is probably the most successful and has certainly kept busy working on This Morning and The Hit List with her husband, Marvin, who used to be in JLS.
Aside from all her presenting work, Rochelle has released fashion lines with Very.co.uk and New Look. She’s also had three children and released her own baby brand, My Little Coco.
The positive news is that all the band members are still friends – so there’s no bad blood which could hinder the possibility of a reunion.
With this year being exactly a decade since The Saturdays went on hiatus, it would be the perfect time to announce a regathering. It would truly be something special.
Just imagine some of the old classics such as Ego, Work and Notorious being performed one last time. I would be lining up to buy pre-sale tickets despite having a deep hatred for Ticketmaster.
Maybe we’ll learn more before 2024 comes to an end.
