The concert calendar for 2024 is heading toward its last notes. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some big shows coming to town in December. Here are five must-see concerts this month:
Heart: The 2025 Royal Flush Tour
When and where: Dec. 3, Pacific Coliseum
What is the latest album: Live in Atlantic City, 2019
Expect to hear classics such as Crazy On You and Magic Man alongside some well-chosen Led Zeppelin covers such as the Ocean and David Bowie’s Let’s Dance and, obviously, finishing with Barracuda.
Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour
When and where: Dec. 3 at Rogers Arena

The album topped charts in over 20 countries and include the Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit Birds of a Feather. The set list includes most of the new album as well as such fan faves as Bury a Friend, You Should See Me in a Crown and others. The tour stage is an in-the-round configuration.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour
When and where: Dec. 6-8, B.C. Place

What to know about the tour: In the event that you weren’t aware, Swift is coming to Vancouver to finish off the record-breaking, globe trotting Eras Tour. Both the original ticket release and subsequent last-minute second ticket release were scooped up faster than you can say look what you made me do and are now on the resale market for prices more typically aligned with a down payment for a new vehicle.
Fishbone: Red Hot Holiday Tour
When and where: Dec. 13 at The Pearl, 881 Granville St.

CONTACT Winter Music Festival
When and where: Dec. 27-28 at the Vancouver Convention Centre
What is the latest album: The dozen performers on this two-day-long electronic music festival have all released new music recently.
What to know about the tour: A seasonal tradition, the CONTACT Winter Music Festival usually happens at B.C. Place. This year, the event is taking place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, which is a great place for all-night dance parties.
Since the fast-spinning DJs on the bill are used to performing in all manner of venues and configurations, expect solid sets from everyone. As any EDM head is well-aware, have beats will boogie.
Who else is on the tour: Day 1 includes Seven Lions, Eli Brown, Netsky, Max Styler, Seb C and Steph Tsunami. Day 2 includes Deadmau5, James Hype, Armnhmr, Bijou b2b Nostalgix, Joanna Magik and Jaemo.
