Please comment below guys and let me know what you have tried to get rid of mould for good.

She explained how she had cleaned the mould away just one week before her find. She used Astonish’s popular mould and mildew spray, but if there is a structural issue with the building, simply cleaning the mould won’t solve the problem.

She went on to ask for “tips and tricks”, adding: “I don’t understand how this mould has come about.”

To improve air circulation, she moved the bed away from the wall and used an air purifier. It showed an air quality score of 81/100, prompting her to open a window to ventilate the space.

In response to her plea for help, one commenter suggested that a “big dehumidifier” might solve the problem, while another pointed out it “looks like a wall issue” that should be addressed.

A third said: “Open curtains daily, get a dehumidifier and wipe down regularly with warm water and dish detergent. If it’s a rental, the landlord needs to replace it. It’s not safe at all.”

And a fourth commented: “Vinegar cleans the mould and also kills it. I had a bit in a bedroom corner, and I cleaned it with plenty of vinegar. Also open your windows every morning for good air circulation.”

If you spot mould in your property, it’s important to speak to your landlord if you’re renting. If you own, seek professional help if DIY methods do not work quickly.
