I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Maura Higgins shared an exciting glimpse into her love life in Sunday’s episode. The former Love Islander entered the jungle as a late arrival, joining campmates including WAG Coleen Rooney, McFly singer Danny Jones, popstar Tulisa Contostavlos and dancer Oti Mabuse.
The star has now settled in and shared details about her relationship status before flying to Australia amid rumours she was dating contestant . Radio 1’s Dean McCullough kicked off the conversation as he revealed that he has been dating someone since July, but they have not stamped a label on the relationship yet.
Continuing their heart-to-heart, Oti asked Maura if she was single. The 34-year-old confessed: “I am single, but I was seeing someone before I came in, so I’m not in a relationship.”

Reverend Richard Coles pressed for more details, asking: “Was it exclusive? Or if I’ve put you on the spot, I’m sorry!”
Maura confessed that she wasn’t sure whether the relationship was exclusive and disclosed that the person she was dating was someone her fellow campmates would recognize.
Dean prodded for more details, asking: “So recently since you’ve been in here then have you gone ‘oh my god I miss him’?”
“Yeah”, Maura admitted.

The duo has been pictured getting close and kissing on several occasions, but Maura claimed she was single before the show. Pete unintentionally fueled more speculation about their relationship when he shared a supportive post encouraging his followers to vote for Maura this week.
Despite the rumours, Maura’s best friend, Danika O’Connor, has confirmed that the TV stars are just good friends.
She told OK! Magazine: “They’re just really good friends. Pete is supporting Maura in the jungle and she was supporting him on Strictly. It just shows what a good friend she is. She’ll be a good friend no matter what.”
Even so, Maura’s confession to her campmates could lead viewers to conclude that she was talking about Pete.

Later in the chat, Maura divulged that she thinks she has never been in love but her most recent romance felt different, adding “[…] he’s not an a**hole.”
