I’m A Celebrity fans left ‘bawling’ their eyes out as popular segment makes a return

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! fans were left bawling after the celebrities read out letters from home.

Sunday night’s episode had high emotional stakes as the second star was set to leave the jungle. But before the dreaded elimination, which saw Dean McCullough booted out, the stars opened letters from their loved ones.

Starting the festivities, star Alan Halsall read out N-Dubz singer Tulisa’s message from her brother Dan, who said: “Keep being the amazing, beautiful, strong caring woman you are, we love you so much, you’ve got this sis!”

McFly’s Danny Jones, who is a favourite to win, then received words of encouragement from his wife Georgia, who revealed that their son Cooper: “Has been watching you with the biggest smile on his face and has been even doing his own Bushtucker trials at home.”

She jokingly added: “Is Barry McGuigan coming for Christmas or what?”

As the rest of the camp slowly shared their heartfelt messages from home, fans flocked to social media to share how emotional they were during the beloved segment.

Writing on X, formerly Twitter, One fan said: “Someone needs to throw me a life jacket cos I’m literally drowning in my tears listening to these letters from home.”

Another chimed in:”The family letters to the campmates in #ImACeleb is really good to watch. It’s a perfect blend of encouragement, humour and heartfelt sentiments that uplifts the spirits of everyone in the camp.”

Yet another viewer voiced out:”Not a dry eye here. I’m bawling my eyes out like a baby. Letters from home gets right to the soul.”

Others resorted to sharing popular gifs of celebrities crying to indicate their reactions to the show.

Danny later returned the favour by reading Barry’s from all of his grandchildren: “We love you so much Papa and we are all so proud of you.”

Another unexpected duo that has come from this series is GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles, who read out each other’s messages.

Richard’s brother Will said: “It’s amazing to watch you grow with the rest of your campmates.”

His letter went on to say:”Alice and Ellie wanted to say how cool it is to now have a trendy uncle.”

“Please ask GK to help with your profile as the next archbishop of banterbury”, they added.

While GK’s letter from her mum, dad and her girlfriend Ella read: “I thought I couldn’t love you anymore than I already do but seeing you with a huntsmen spider on your head has really done it. You’re absolutely smashing it, beautiful. I can’t wait to see you and give you a big kiss. You’re making us all proud.”

Radio DJ Dean McCullough’s mum sent in words of support, writing: “The huntsman spiders are the worst for you, and the green ants, and the fish guts, actually everything! Saying that, we couldn’t be prouder of how you have overcome all of your fears. Love you and I can’t wait for a big hug.”

The 32-year-old faced his fair share of public-voted trials before his elimination.
