Dune: Prophecy is another sprawling genre series from the network that brought us Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, but does it feature any of the same cast members?
This intense science-fiction thriller kicks off 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides (played by Timothee Chalamet) and follows the formulation of the secretive female sect known as the Bene Gesserit.
Just two episodes of the series have aired on HBO and Sky in the UK so far, revealing the mysterious soldier Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel) as a serious threat to the Imperium.
Fans will probably recognise the likes of Emily Watson (The Theory of Everything), Olivia Williams (The Crown) and Fimmel (Vikings) amongst the main cast.
Plus, Mark Strong commands the universe as Emperor Javicco Corrino, having previously appeared as Carmine Falcone in HBO’s recent hit The Penguin as well as the Kingsman franchise.
However, a few names might stand out to Game of Thrones fans, so let’s take a look at the Dune: Prophecy cast members who have also taken a sojourn in Westeros.

Jodhi May
Actress Jodhi May plays a major role in the Dune prequel opposite Strong as the Emperor’s wife Empress Natalya.
She is expected to appear in most if not all six episodes of the new series, but eagle-eyed fans might remember her from an episode of Game of Thrones that aired nearly 10 years ago.
Despite her limited appearance, she played a pivotal role by portraying a fortune teller known as Maggy the Frog in the first episode of season five, The Wars to Come.
In the opening scenes, she informs a young Cersei (Nell Williams) that she’ll go on to marry Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) but also warns her their three children will die, setting the stage for the epic drama to come.

Speaking of the Baratheon king, The Full Monty actor Addy is also listed among the main cast of Dune: Prophecy, though he is yet to appear.
He will portray Evgeny Harkonnen, the uncle to Watson’s Mother Superior Valya Harkonnen and Williams’ Tula Harkonnen.
An image from the series has revealed him looking totally unrecognisable in aged makeup, shaved head and a full grey beard.

Brendan Cowell
One of the most instrumental players in the new Dune prequel is Ferdinand Richese (Brendan Cowell), the father of Lord Pruwet, who is married to Princess Ynez (Sarah-Sofie Boussnina) at the start of the series to strengthen the allegiance between the two houses.
Although his characters are very different, you may recognised Cowell as the similarly bearded soldier Harrag from three episodes of Game of Thrones back in 2017.
He was the captain of Yara Greyjoy’s (Gemma Whelan) fleet when her uncle Euron (Pilou Asbæk) took the Salt Throne and is last seen being beaten senseless after challenging Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen).

Sam Spruell
One Dune cast member hasn’t actually appeared in Westeros yet, but he’s set to play a major role in the upcoming spin-off series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
The English actor portrays Horace, a member of the rebellion against the Great Houses, in Dune: Prophecy and has also appeared in popular films like Taken 3, Legend and The Martian.
He has since been cast as Maekar Targaryen in the next A Song of Ice and Fire series, which is set around a century before the events of Game of Thrones.
Dune: Prophecy continues Sundays on HBO in the USA and the following Monday Sky and NOW in the UK.
