The country is forecast to be almost covered by snow and rain
The UK is bracing itself for a 500-mile long wall of that is set to swirl over the country very soon.
WX Charts weather maps suggest the UK will be covered by a with turning purple and white indicating snow.
Scotland looks likely to see the worst of the weather with temperatures plunging to as low as -4C.
On Wednesday, December 4 at midnight, Scotland is forecast to be covered by a blanket of snow, while key cities including Inverness and Glasgow look likely to receive a hammering of snow. However, Edinburgh could just miss out on catching a glimpse of the white stuff.
Scotland could see temperatures drop to below -4 degrees
England won’t miss out on seeing snow with Cumbria, Northumberland and Durham in the north of England all forecast to receive a winter blast. And the snow could also reach as far south as Birmingham.
The agrees that Scotland and Northern England could see snow next week.
Chief Meteorologist Matthew Lehnert predicts that snow is “likely in places initially, mainly over high ground in Scotland and northern England” on Wednesday.
Elsewhere weather maps suggest that Wales will be completely covered by a wall of rain with up to 10mm per hour forecast.
South West England could also see a drenching with up to 10mm of rain per hour forecast as well.

Temperatures are also predicted to plummet as the latest big freeze takes hold across the UK.
Scotland will see temperatures drop to -4 C on Wednesday at midnight and -3C at 6am.
The North West and North East of England will feel the chill with temperatures struggling to get above zero with the mercury hovering between -1C and 2C.
Wales will see temperatures from between 2C and 4C.
London and the South East are forecast to experience the warmest possible temperatures of around 6C. However the capital will see temperatures drop to -2C on Wednesday at 3am.
In the ‘s weather outlook for Monday to Wednesday the forecaster is warning the weather will turn “colder with wintry showers in the north”.
Tuesday will be a frosty start “with rain, sleet and snow later. Rain clearing through on Wednesday”.
