The now-four-time world champion completed a remarkable turnaround, recovering from an alarming eighth-place finish in the sprint race to score pole position for the Grand Prix on Sunday.

However, the Dutchman is not yet in the clear. During the warm-up laps in Q3, he blocked Russell on the racing line, forcing the man to jolt his W15 to the left to avoid a collision.

Russell branded the incident as “dangerous” and the stewards deemed it worth an investigation, calling both drivers in for a post-session review.
