Loose Women’s Jane Moore was the first to be voted out of the jungle on Friday after the public decided for her to leave – and she didn’t go quietly either. As she exited camp she encouraged her fellow celebrities to savour the “rest of it”.
Turning to her co-stars once more, Jane remarked that “hard work does not get rewarded” as it was announced she would be the first to exit the jungle. Her six word-comment seemingly nodded to the “sexism” and “ageist” row that broke out between her, and camp leaders Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan over the chores.
Despite the knife edge tension, she expressed that she would cherish the experience with great affection and would repeat it “in a heartbeat”. The TV host found herself in the bottom two alongside Radio 1’s Dean McCullough.
After the vote and Jane’s cutting comments social media was abuzz with angry fans, who didn’t take kindly to her final words in camps.
One viewer commented: “‘People don’t notice hard work’…we notice t*** though. Bye Jane! #ImaCeleb #imacelebrity2024 #ImACelebity,” a second shared the same sentiment: “‘People don’t notice hard work’ ngl I’m not voting for people to stay for doing chores, Jane #ImaCeleb.”
Don’t miss…
Jane Moore made a cutting dig as she exited show
A third online user shared an eye rolling GIF snapshot along with a comment that read:”The rest of the campmates hearing Jane still complaining on her way out #ImACeleb.”
While a fourth moaned:”HARD WORK DOES NOT GET REWARDED? Girl you did one trial and skipped most of it …. #ImaCeleb.” As a fifth complained:”Begging to do a trial since she started and can’t be f*****g assed to do half of it? What a sad little life Jane #imaceleb.”
Others however were annoyed over the result, taking to platform X vowing that the vote had been unfair: “GET DEAN OUT OF THAT CAMP MY GIRL JANE DID NOT DESERVE THIS #ImACeleb,” said one user.
Danny and Barry clashed with Jane
“I did think Jane would be 1st #ImACeleb,” stated another. While a third and fourth quizzed: “How come Dean is not first out? #imacelebrity2024” and “Jane’s right ‘hard work does not get rewarded’ she didn’t deserve to go first #ImaCeleb.”
Jane’s departure comes as no surprise to many after her popularity on the programme began to decline following a fallout with Mcfly’s Danny and Irish former pro boxer Barry over chores. At the time of the on-air incident, Jane explained she’d requested not to do the washing up but was given that task anyway – leaving her reeling.
Camp leaders Danny and Barry appeared to be genuinely surprised that Jane had been so upset, having given her the task thinking it would be a lighter duty than some of the other jobs around camp.
Fans called Jane ‘disgraceful’ over the bitter dig
When stewing on what task to give everyone, Danny said: “I think we have to put Jane on washing up but the only thing I want to say is have we gone a bit male heavy on the strenuous jobs?” Barry replied: “I think that’s a fair comment but I don’t think they’d thank us after a few days.”
As a result of their selection, Jane fumed that they’d been “sexist,” and “ageist” with their approach, causing even more tension in camp. Geordie duo Ant and Dec weren’t convinced with Jane’s outburst as they opened up on the tensions that were brewing Down Under.
Ant said: “I think she is being a bit unfair by saying it’s sexist and ageist. I think they were just trying to do a good job in allocating fairly, if I’m honest.” Dec shared a similar view: “Yes, I agree. I feel for Barry, he was only trying to do his best.” Ant added: “Poor little Barry.”
