It comes as King will celebrate the life of fellow Hairy Biker and best friend Dave Myers in a special one-off documentary.

During the programme, King will pick out the critical moments of the past 25 years of Myers and King’s TV careers, commemorating a unique friendship that would change cookery shows forever.

It follows the 45,000 bikes that joined Si on a memorial journey from London to Dave’s hometown of Barrow-in-Furness in April this year.

In memory of the late TV star, who died from cancer in February at the age of 66, motorcyclists from across the UK met up to ride in a convoy to pay tribute to Myers.

The emotional ride was Si King’s last as a Hairy Biker as he closes the chapter on an incredible 25 years of memories with his biking brother.

Archive, new interviews, and previously unseen footage help celebrate Dave’s life, charting a journey that took him around the world, cooking up a storm as one of television’s greatest-ever double acts.

King said: “It was a very special show to pull together. Full of nostalgia, laughs and celebration of my best friend and his life.”

Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Factual Entertainment and Events, says: “Dave and Si hold a very special place in the Nation’s heart, and this emotional film pays tribute to an extraordinary friendship.”
