has set hearts racing as royal fans share that they’ve grown to love his bearded look.

The 43-year-old has been seen , something that he was previously seen with during his younger years.

Some royal fans appeared surprised by his look at first – with many believing that an unshaven look was against royal rules – but they have grown to love the newer look.

In a , fans were asked whether they preferred the royal with or without a beard, with results surprisingly close.

Of the 3,351 votes collected, a staggering 1,786 readers [53 percent] shared that they loved his new look – compared to 1,412 [42 percent] who stated that they preferred him clean shaven. 153 readers [5 percent] also voted that they were unsure whether they liked William’s beard.

Taking to the comment section, fans expressed their opinion, with one commmenting: “He looks more mature and that suits him.”

Another fan commented: “Yes he is a hot looking guy [laughing-face emoji]”

A third fan commented that they’d grown to like it, stating: “I didn’t like the beard at first, but now it’s grown a bit it quite suits him. But I must admit I like clean shaven. He looks good with and without. And it’s his choice, not ours.”

Sharing that they’d like his look now, another commented: “I am not and never have been a beard lover. A shadow designer beard as Prince Willim has right now, I find rather attractive. Any more growth and no I wouldn’t like it.”

This comes as it has been confirmed that the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children will . Although they will be present for the service at St Mary Magdalene beforehand, the family of five will be joining Kate’s family at Anmer Hall instead.
