Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland shared an emotional moment with his pro partner Dianne Buswell backstage as Tess Daly stepped in to support the pair.
Unlikely dance sensation Chris and Aussie pro are into the quarter-finals of the hit dance contest and the pair met Dianne’s parents to mark the occasion.
The blind comedian met Dianne’s mum and dad, Rina and Mark, backstage during rehearsals after the pair flew out to celebrate their daughter’s success in the 2024 series with her.
In footage caught by production crews and shared by Dianne on her , Chris met dad, who hugged Chris tight and wept into his shoulder.

Chris then asks Dianne’s dad: “Are you okay?”
Dianne then sat down with her mum and dad and pro partner Chris to talk about what just happened.
She said: “Dad’s getting emotional again.”
Chris then added: “I feel like it’s been a real partnership, you know, and I think we reflected that when we did our couple’s choice, in that it was also about the risks that you’re taking as well [Dianne], you being in the unknown and you figuring this out as we’re going along.
“And well done for coming over when there’s only seven left because at the beginning, oh it’s a long shot.
“You’ve come over at the right time.”
Dianne added: “We said when we danced in Blackpool just gone, we get quite nervous both of us, because there still is such an unknown identity to every dance we do, isn’t there.
“Yes, it’s up to week 10 and we have gained a lot of confidence but every dance with Chris is so unknown.”
Dianne’s mum then had her in tears again as she said: “Dianne’s been dancing since she was four years old. I’ve seen the highs and I’ve seen the lows, and to be here for this amazing moment is pretty special.”

She said:”So precious your dad won my heart in an instant. He radiated love for you.”
And fellow pro Vito Coppola added: “Omg my heart is melting. Pure happiness, so much joy and love.”
Fans loved seeing the emotions shared by the four, and said that Chris and Dianne are ‘the real winners’ whatever happens.
