Police investigating series of fires at Port Moody elementary school

Firefighters put out the fires before any damage was done to the building, but police are concerned they were deliberately set.

The Port Moody police and fire departments say three fires outside an elementary school were deliberately set.

Firefighters put out fires on Nov. 9, 11 and 24.

In the most recent case, police say a teenager wearing dark clothing was seen leaving the area on a bicycle.

Police say all fires occurred outside of school hours and close to the school building.

All were extinguished before there was any damage to the school.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Port Moody police or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous.
