‘s manager believes that ‘s entourage are ‘delusional’ if they are open to putting him in the ring with .

YouTube star turned boxer Paul is hot property after boosting his fighting credentials with a points win over in Texas earlier this month. He moved up to heavyweight for that fight, but Paul’s promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian is keeping an open mind regarding what to do next.

Paul himself has called out modern boxing great Canelo Alvarez for a cruiserweight showdown, while Bidarian has not ruled out remaining at heavyweight and seeking scraps with the likes of Joshua or Daniel Dubois.

KSI and Paul have both been in with a professional boxer, each losing to Tommy Fury last year. But Taylor feels that going from Fury to a prime heavyweight could put Paul in genuine danger.

As well as calling it ‘delusional’, Taylor told : “If Nakisa puts Jake in that position where he fights Anthony Joshua or Canelo or Dubois, he could seriously get his client hurt.

“So either he’s really delusional or he only gives a s*** about the money. But once Jake has that fight, maybe he’ll come back down to earth and have a real talk, whoever it’s with on that level.”

Some fans are still keen to see KSI and Paul go head-to-head in the boxing ring. KSI beat Paul’s brother, Logan, in a Los Angeles bout five years ago before going into business with him.

Putting the family ties to one side, the weight difference between the two fighters could render it a tricky fight to make. KSI was three stone lighter during his defeat to Fury than Paul was in his win over Tyson.

But Taylor remains optimistic that a compromise could be reached over an adequate weight for both fighters.

“The Jake fight is something we’ve wanted and there was talk of a coin toss,” he explained. “We said, ‘Fine, let’s do a coin toss, but the weights have to be fair’.

“If you want 192lb on one side then we want 183lb on the other side. If you want 190, we’ll take 185. We gave some take-it-or-leave-it terms, we’ll even fight in America in Las Vegas. We’ve really tried to make it happen.”
