ITV I’m A Celeb halts trial as medics ‘rush in’ to help campmate

Medics were reportedly called into a terrifying scene during I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! during Tulisa Contostavlos’ intense Bushtucker trial, a section that was cut from the broadcast.

The N-Dubz star, facing her first individual challenge in the Australian wilderness, suddenly panicked, believing that an insect had infiltrated her ear amidst being swarmed by bugs.

A TV insider told The Sun about the emergency intervention: “Mid-way through the trial, the show medics rushed in to help. Tulisa was convinced something was in her ear—she wasn’t sure if it was a cockroach, cricket, or fly—and had to have a syringe wash. She carried on after that, but she was horrified.”

Tasked with her inaugural camp trial, 36-year-old Tulisa had been nominated by a public vote. Filled with resolve, she prepared to tackle the task, unaware of what lay ahead until informed by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.

The Geordie duo explained that she would be secured inside a box resembling a hand on a clock, which would pivot around as she attempted to rack up stars for meals by listing 12 items within a category in under a minute all while besieged by various creepy-crawlies, reports .

During her trial on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Tulisa was heard exclaiming, “Just get it over with!” as insects showered down upon her.

Despite the challenges, she secured five out of the possible 12 stars and earned meals for her campmates.

Post-trial, Tulisa confessed: “When I was in there, my brain just wouldn’t function, it just went blank, I was just trying to survive.”

During the ordeal, she also had to apologise for forgetting the names of fellow contestants, including Coleen Rooney and Melvin Odoom.

Yet, viewers were less than impressed with her performance and the perceived assistance from hosts Ant and Dec.

In a segment involving the phonetic alphabet, Tulisa’s admission of ignorance prompted Ant to hint, “When you get pulled over by the police…” while Dec chimed in with clues like “Sport… when you use clubs and a ball.”

Fans took to X to express their discontent, with one venting, “Why are Ant and Dec trying to help Tulisa?!” and another exasperated user asking, “Who’s answering the questions in this trial, Ant and Dec or Tulisa?”
