I’m A Celeb’s Richard Coles’ ‘biggest fear’ unveiled as Prince William’s uncle speaks out

Prince William’s uncle, Charles Spencer, has broken his silence on Richard Coles’ journey on I’m A Celebrity, offering a succinct four-word insight of: “He wants to win.”

Richard is currently gracing our screens on the popular ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity, and since stepping foot in the Australian jungle, he has rapidly won over viewers.

As Richard battles the harsh realities of jungle life, his close friend and podcast co-host, Earl Charles Spencer, made an appearance on Thursday’s (November 28) episode of Lorraine, where conversation inevitably turned to .

The ninth Earl Spencer, aged 60, confessed that Richard isn’t the best at keeping secrets, hence he was aware of his upcoming stint on the ITV reality show.

Discussing Richard’s greatest fear, he revealed: “I saw him the day he was voted out of Strictly, and he couldn’t tell me, but I asked him how things were going. He looked really sad, and he said, ‘Let’s just say I’ve got more time on my hands than I wanted.'”

Charles further commented: “I think Richard’s biggest fear is generally to be voted off early because he loves people and he loves people liking him.

“I believe he can handle the trials as he is up for this, but I must say Richard is highly competitive and beneath it all, he will want to win and be King of the jungle.”

He concluded: “Whatever he does, he does it well. I remember when he said that he was doing this I asked him about the food trial, he responded ‘well I love my food’ and he does so I don’t know how he is managing that.”

Emotions ran high in a recent episode as Richard and ex- star Oti Mabuse shared touching stories from their lives, reports .

Oti revealed the challenges she faced when her daughter arrived 10 weeks early, recounting to Richard how she was initially unable to hold her newborn and had to rely on the power of her voice to bond with her.

Reflecting on their moving conversation, Charles noted: “He was a priest near where I live, and he had a packed church every Sunday, not because he was a celebrity but because he really cared, and that is coming across on camera.”
