Strictly Come Dancing’s spin-off show It Takes Two took an awkward turn on Thursday night.
Professional dancer Dianne Buswell joined the show alongside her celebrity dance partner, . Prior to delving into their interview, host Janette Manrara asked Dianne, 35, about her upcoming costume for Musicals Week.
During a chat with Strictly costume designer, Vicky Gill, Janette, 41, thought it would be fun for Dianne to see her outfit and learn the inspiration behind it.
Excitedly, Janette invited: “Dianne, come on over! We’re about to see your sketch are you excited?” to which an eager Dianne responded: “I’m very excited! Go on Vicky!”
Dianne, who is performing a Quickstep to You’re The Top from the classic musical Anything Goes, learnt she would be wearing a two-piece which involved a white tailored top and blueish green bottoms.

Overcome by eagerness upon seeing the design, Dianne let out: “Oh that’s so cute!” This was promptly followed by an apology to Janette after a hilarious blunder as she said: “Sorry, I spat on you, so sorry about that, sorry about that!”, prompting Janette’s light-hearted reply: “We’re friends guys, we’re friends!”, reports .
Dianne couldn’t contain her delight at the outfit, remarking: “That is really cute, I love it!” while Vicky outlined the process ahead: “We have a chat, everyone says how they feel, what they need to achieve and we’ll finally see something on Saturday night!” to which Dianne offered her approval of the outfit exclaiming: “Beautiful! It’s a ten from me, Vicky!”
In an emotional moment on Saturday night’s , Tess Daly paused the show to allow for a heartfelt message from Dianne’s dad. The presenter said: “Now, since week three, Chris and Dianne have had one goal – to dance live in front of Dianne’s parents.”

She continued with a warm welcome: “Mark and Rina, here they are all the way from Australia, it is so lovely to see you. On behalf of all of us, the warmest welcome to you. I mean we all feel like family at this point, we really do. I know you have waited seven years for this to see Dianne live. Would you mind doing the honours, Mark, here you go.”
With excitement, Dianne’s father announced: “Dancing the Paso Doble, here is Chris and our Dianne.” After Dianne and Chris took to the dancefloor to perform, Mark was left in floods of tears. As Tess went to speak with Chris and Dianne, she pointed out: “Mark is crying, don’t make me cry, Mark.”
