Drummer Jamie Morrison was hurried to hospital mere moments before he was due to take the stage.
The Stereophonics member, who pulls double duty with the band 86TVs, was all set to play at Rescue Rooms in Nottingham on Monday evening.
In light of the emergency, 86TVs reached out to their fans, declaring: “We had quite a dramatic day yesterday when, minutes before doors opened in Nottingham, Jamie was rushed into hospital. He is still in there and has been strongly advised by doctors to not attempt to do the shows this week.”
“We are all heartbroken about this the shows on this run really have been our best ever but obviously health comes first. Please send your love and get wells to one of the best to ever do it.”
They continued: “Huge apologies to anyone who has made plans for these shows, especially with long distance travel. We know there are a number of you that have had plans around this for a long time and were planning on sending off this record with us this week.”
As they approached the conclusion of their action-packed 2024 tour, the band still had performances lined up in Manchester, Bristol, London, Cambridge, and Leeds. Their ambitious tour was set to draw to a close on December 1, following its commencement on November 15 in Germany, reports .

Jamie, aged 41, has been showcasing his drumming talents with 86TVs along with The Maccabees’ illustrious Hugo and Felix White, as well as their sibling Will.
Fans have been quick to send their well-wishes to Jamie, with one expressing: “Get well soon Jamie x.”
Another shared their concern: “Oh no. Sending best wishes to Jamie for a speedy recovery and love to you all.”
A third person remarked: “Oh my gosh! Terrible news – hope you get well soon.”

Meanwhile, a fourth insisted: “Get well soon Jamie health comes first! “.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jamie has performed with the likes of Noisettes and Drewford Alabama. He’s also released music on his own label Ninjas and Wolves under the moniker Pop Morrison.
Jamie became a member of Stereophonics in 2012 after leaving Noisettes. In 2022, he joined forces with 86TVs, and the band secured a deal with Parlophone Records last year.
Jamie is gearing up to hit the road with Stereophonics once more next year as they’ve unveiled plans for an extensive UK and Ireland summer tour. Dubbed the Stadium Anthems tour, it will commence in June and continue into July, offering fans eight dates to choose from, including a slot at the Isle of Wight Festival.
This tour marks Stereophonics’ return to the stage after a three-year hiatus.
The band’s itinerary includes performances at Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium, Dublin St. Anne’s Park, Cork Virgin Media Park, London Finsbury Park, Glasgow Bellahouston Park (as part of Summer Sessions), and will wrap up with a grand finale in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium, bringing them back to their roots.
Stereophonics are also set to drop a brand-new album next year and will be performing their biggest hits, including Dakota, Have A Nice Day, Maybe Tomorrow, C’est La Vie, and A Thousand Trees.
Lead vocalist Kelly Jones expressed his excitement, saying: “Being on the road again with my best friends, playing all the hits of this band’s catalogue for people in huge outdoor gatherings through the summer of 2025 makes me so excited. We should make a new album…oh wait …we already did that! See ya there for more good times…. TUNE! ! ! TUNE! ! ! TUNE! ! “.
The band’s current lineup consists of Kelly Jones on vocals and lead guitar, Richard Jones on bass, Adam Zindani on guitar, Jamie on drums, and Tony Kirkham as their touring keyboard player. Former members include Stuart Cable and Javier Weyler on drums, who were later replaced by Jamie.

Stereophonics have released twelve studio albums, with eight of them reaching number one in the UK.
In 2021, the band made the decision to cancel their Christmas shows after facing criticism for “superspreading” . The Welsh rockers had gone ahead with a concert in Cardiff in March 2020, at the start of the pandemic, which sparked widespread criticism.
They were scheduled to perform at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 17th and 18th in 2021, with a set from music legend Sir Tom Jones, but ultimately decided to scrap the shows.
