Danny Jones underwent knee surgery before I’m A Celeb.
McFly star Danny Jones had painful reconstructive surgery on his knee to treat his torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), which is a crucial ligament for knee joint stability.
He sustained an injury to the ligament in 2021 and had the brutal operation the following year. According to the , the ACL is a tough band of tissue joining the thigh bone to the shin bone and runs diagonally through the inside of the knee.
Injuries typically occur during sports such as football, rugby, tennis and skiing when the lower leg extends too much or becomes twisted.
During the surgery, a torn ACL can be reconstructed by attaching new tissue to it or replacing it with a tendon from another area of the leg.
Following the operation, Danny underwent months of rehabilitation and struggled with being unable to do the things he loves like running and football
