Pete Wicks has received cruel death threats for staying in Strictly Come Dancing.
star said he has received cruel death threats during his time on the show. The reality star, 36, has been on the receiving end of backlash after making it through to the quarter-final while some higher-scoring celebrities have been voted out.
He made the confession on his Staying Relevant podcast alongside his professional dance partner, Jowita Przystal.
She is standing in for Pete’s co-host as he is currently in hosting the spin-off, I’m A Celebrity…Unpacked.
Revealing the vile messages he had received from trolls, the TOWIE star said: “Since Strictly, there have been some real crackers.
“Someone actually wished death upon me on the dance floor the other day.”

Jowita replied: “Really?” before Pete relayed that a troll had written: “Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that he gets booted out and breaks both legs slipping on the floor.”

Meanwhile, Montell and Johannes performed their Quickstep to Get Happy by Ella Fitzgerald again in a bid to impress the judges. They had received a score of 37 for the routine on Saturday, with Anton Du Beke saying it was their best performance since their Couple’s Choice.

Pete appeared visibly shocked by the result and later took to to apologise to fans amid the backlash.
He wrote: “No one is more surprised than me. Trust me I know I’m not as good as the rest and I’m sorry for that but I’m trying my best, we all are.
“I’m just trying to improve and learn as I go. No one is more surprised that I’m still here than me. We’re all giving it 100 percent and no one wants to see any one go home.”
The remaining six couples will take to the dancefloor next week for the quarter final with the live show returning to One and iPlayer on Saturday November 30 at 7.05pm and the results show airing on Sunday December 1 at 7.20pm on One and iPlayer.
