BBC Radio star breaks silence on quitting as she follows in Zoe Ball’s footsteps.
BBC Radio presenter has confirmed she will leave the BBC in the new year after more than 25 years with the corporation.
Husain, 51, who has presented Today programme for 11 years, said: “My time at the has involved many memorable moments, going to places I would never otherwise have seen, witnessing history and being part of live, national conversation on Radio 4.
“I will always be grateful for the opportunities the gave me, and wish the organisation and everyone who is part of it the very best.”
She first joined the in 1998, and is a host of The Today Debate, and fronted several 2024 general election debates this year.
She was previously a presenter on World News, and has delivered news reports on News At Ten and News At Six.
