The driver line-up for 2025 remains shrouded in mystery. While is contracted with the team for next year, he is enduring a miserable run of form, recording just one top-five finish in his last 17 Grand Prix starts.
If and Helmut Marko do opt to reshuffle their driver pairing, they have a multitude of options to choose from. Liam Lawson and have both impressed at this season, while Franco Colapinto has been highlighted as a target following a strong start to life at Williams.
Bottas, however, doesn’t believe that he will be on their shortlist. “I feel like there are some people at who don’t really like me for some reason,” he said in Las Vegas. “I don’t think it’s an option, but that’s my feeling.”
The 10-time Grand Prix winner was then asked whether the newly approved General Motors entry would be of interest, should a year on the sidelines be required in 2025. Bottas replied: “Yes, I might!”
Bottas won’t be the only driver interested in the two new seats generated by Cadillac’s arrival on the grid. General Motors will no doubt be interested in bringing an American talent on board, with Colton Herta, Kyle Kirkwood and all options.
