Dmitry Medvedev, a close ally of , has stoked tensions with the West by accusing the US of “preparing for nuclear war” by transferring nuclear weapons to , while launching a scathing attack on US President .
Medvedev, himself a former Russian President, frequently lashes out via the Telegram app, and took things to another level in his latest rant.
He declared: “American politicians and journalists are seriously discussing the consequences of transferring nuclear weapons to Kyiv.
“It seems that my sad joke about the crazy senile Biden, who decided to leave this life gracefully, taking a significant part of humanity with him, is turning into a frightening reality.”

“The very idea is so absurd that it raises suspicions about the presence of paranoid psychosis in Joe The Walking Dead and all those who discuss the advisability of such a step.
“And yet, we have to comment on the nonsense: 1) the very threat of transferring nuclear weapons to the Kyiv regime can be seen as preparation for a nuclear conflict with ; 2) the actual transfer of such weapons can be equated to an accomplished act of attack on our country in the sense of paragraph 19 of the Fundamentals of State Policy in the Field of Nuclear Deterrence.
“The consequences are obvious.”
There are no indications that the US is planning to arm with nuclear weapons.

Medvedev also made insulting remarks about US President Joe Biden
Medvedev, the current Deputy Chairman of ‘s Security Council, was seen as a moderate figure during his presidency.
However, since ’s invasion of in 2022, he has adopted a hawkish tone, branding Western leaders as “enemies of ” and accusing them of seeking to dismantle the country. He has disparaged Biden personally, labelling him “incompetent” and unfit to lead, while also mocking his age and alleged mental acuity.
