The Yorkshire Vet stars Mr and Mrs Green’s rarely-seen daughter and life away from show

The Yorkshire Vet features Mr and Mrs Green, two of Britain’s oldest farmers, but do they have any children?

The heartwarming Channel 5 series continues tonight, Tuesday, November 26, with Julian Norton journeying to the Scottish Highlands where he kick-started his veterinary career in Thurso.

Back in Thirsk, Jean Green, 72, a fan favourite alongside her 95-year-old husband Steve, is worried about one of her cats who is passing blood and requires help.

With the couple back on our screens, it’s no surprise viewers are keen to learn more about their life off-camera.

Do The Yorkshire Vet’s Mr and Mrs Green have children?

Jean and Steve Green’s love story began over 40 years ago when he employed her brother on his farm.

Despite a 23-year age difference, they tied the knot just three months after meeting. Not long after, they welcomed their only child, Sarah, who has chosen to maintain a lower public profile than her parents.

She occasionally appears on her famous parents’ spin-off show At Home With The Greens but isn’t a regular on TV.

Little is known about her, but Sarah describes herself as an “ambidextrous happy go lucky whippet mum” on her Facebook profile.

She also proudly identifies as a “proud farmers’ daughter” and a “broken back survivor”.

Sarah is known for her preference to keep personal images under wraps, but has taken to the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, to share snapshots of her parents, occasionally featuring the celebrated vet Peter Wright.

A nostalgic post from 2016 highlights her mother Jean cosying up with a cat beneath an oversized shirt.

The profile picture on Sarah’s account is of her mother in a tender moment with a cow at their farm, with an earlier post commenting: “My wonderful mum and fuzzy friend”.

Speculation continues over whether Sarah might reappear on the family’s much-loved spin-off, yet there remains no clear sign as to if or when At Home With The Greens may grace our screens anew.

The Yorkshire Vet continues every Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 5.
