Amanda Owen and son Sydney Owen on Ravenseat
Worried Amanda Owen fans have asked the same thing after her new show Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids was pulled from the TV schedules.
Yorkshire Shepherdess returned to TV with new Channel 4 show last month, alongside now-separated husband Clive Owen and their nine children, including eldest daughter Raven Owen and eldest son , as well as rapidly growing up kids like Sydney, Clemmy, Nancy and Annas.
The show, broadcast on the More 4 channel, charts the family’s attempts to build themselves a permanent home by rebuilding an old historic building, Anty John’s, on the Ravenseat farm estate.
:
It comes two years after cancelled the show which shot the family to fame – Our Yorkshire Farm – following the separation of Amanda and Clive.
Fans have been enjoying the new series but its sudden disappearance from TV schedules has led to some concerns.
Amanda Owen posted a new shot of her and her children on the farm to her account with the caption: “Proud of the farmy army. Just some of the formidable bunch, the next generation of doers.”
But @eimart77 replied: “Love your show but hasn’t been on More 4 the last two Mondays when is it back on the TV?”
@lisa_ward said: “Will we have more of Our Farm Next Door. Loved it xx”
@barbaracartmer said; “Why have they only shown 5 episodes of your new show.”
@_mrs.h said: “When is the next episode on TV?”
Others replied to clarify the situation, as @jennymstafford said: “I think in the new year new episodes (1-5 just finished recently and I read that they have to go to episodes 6-10 in the coming future).
Indeed, this is correct – Channel 4 ordered 10 episodes of the new show, to be broadcast in two blocks of five episodes, so two five episode mini-series shown on More 4 with a break in the middle.
Announcing the series, Channel 4 said: “Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids is a 10×60’ commission for More4, airing as two 5×60’ series. It was commissioned by Jayne Stanger, commissioning editor, Lifestyle, and Jo Street, Channel 4’s Head of Lifestyle. The series is made by Leeds-based Wise Owl Films, the team behind More4’s Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives.”
As a result, Our Farm Next Door isn’t expected to return to our screens until 2025.
