looked radiant as she donned a show-stopping luxury look after stepping out in California, in her native the United States, The 43-year-old hosted a dinner for Afghan refugees ahead of Thanksgiving weekend through her foundation, Archwell.
The Duchess of Sussex and founded the Welcome Project to support “women-led programming for recently resettled Afghan women to help build more inclusive and connected communities.” In an interview with Marie Claire, she said: “The Welcome Project is that perfect example of seeing an immediate need.
“And then saying, ‘Okay, how do you make this a much larger vision so it’s not just a short-term banding on a problem, but a long-term solution?'”. This came after the couple stepped down as working members of the y back in 2020.
They now reside in Montecito with their young children, – , 5, and , 3 – with Harry, 40, . Earlier this week Meghan welcomed women who re-settled in the Southern California area, down in Venice Beach and even got stuck into making a delicious meal in the kitchen.
For the event, Meghan’s demure outfit came to an eye-watering total of £65,050 – which was mainly thanks to her expensive jewellery. The duchess went for a beige ensemble, which does not come as a surprise as she favours simple tones.

Meghan wore a £305 trendy sleeveless knit turtleneck from Leset, which is made from a generous amount of superfine wool and cashmere giving it a cosy feel.
She then paired the top with £1,100 trousers from Gabriela Hearst – she is a sustainable luxury fashion designer who is also the creative director of Chloé.
The Duchess is a huge fan of Manolo Blahnik high heels and over the years donned several different designs.
So it comes as no shock that she wore them as they’re proving to be an all-time favourite – her stilettos retail at £595.

However, it sparked mixed reviews online with one user writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “Makes so much sense to wear ridiculously expensive clothes to talk to refugees.”
A second penned: “She loves letting people not as well-off as her know how much she is above them.”
Although another disagreed and said: “I think she looks so stylish. Love the colours. It is her jewellery that ticks up the total, and we all wear expensive rings. I do not include my wedding ring in my outfit cost.”
While a fourth person chimed writing: “I think Meghan looks really nice, she looks really well and has a glow.”
