Barry shared his honest thoughts about campmate Dean on the ITV show this week
Barry McGuigan didn’t mince words about Dean McCullough during another trial.
Radio One’s Dean has been the go-to for trials this series, repeatedly chosen by public vote. His success has been mixed, with a meagre two stars just last week. Frustrated, Dean even shouted “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here” as he abandoned the trial.
Yet, Monday night saw a turnaround for the broadcaster as he bagged a full meal for camp. Dean clinched 10 out of 12 stars in his Jack and the Scream Stalk trial, leaving show hosts Ant and Dec gobsmacked.
“10 stars, a new personal best – you even got a round of applause from me today,” Ant praised. “You do make us proud, you did try!”
Back at camp, Dean was met with cheers from fellow campmates. Ex-boxing champ Barry joined the praise but couldn’t resist a biting remark in the Bush Telegraph. He commented to the camera: “He screams, he shouts and he’s overdramatic.”

have pleaded with viewers to give others a chance at trials, expressing their views on I’m A Celebrity Unpacked. They urged the audience to reconsider their relentless voting for Dean.
“Right, let’s all have a serious talk, and I’ll look directly in the camera here,” Ant began, locking eyes with the audience. “Oh God!” Dec exclaimed, half-joking, as he sensed Ant was about to lay down the law. “I think it’s good to see other faces down there,” Ant explained further, assuring, “This is not a personal thing, and it’s not about Dean.”
Ant’s voice grew louder and filled with conviction as he went on: “It’s about us just seeing different people down there! And I think we want to see different people on the show being featured. Some people unfortunately aren’t getting – you know what, I’d like to see Barry do a trial, let’s see Melvin down there, Oti! But we find this every year when someone gets voted multiple times. You just get to a point where you go, ‘Who’s still voting for Dean?’ I don’t get it.”

The sentiment was mirrored by viewers who were keen to see a fresh face take on the trials. “Time to watch Dean do another challenge. How boring the British public is,” lamented one viewer on social media.
“Looking forward to seeing if Dean p****s me off tonight,” commented another. Meanwhile, a different user remarked: “The Dean show is starting now” along with an eye roll emoji.
