Fallon Sherrock will face Luke Littler in the World Darts Championship if she wins her opening match
Fallon Sherrock has spoken out about her potential clash with after the was made at the start of the week. Sherrock will meet the blockbuster star in the second round if she wins her first round encounter with Ryan Meikle.
Sherrock became the first woman to win a World Championship match in 2020 after getting the better of Ted Evetts. She went on to reach the third round that year after overcoming Mensur Suljovic in her second match.
And the 30-year-old will be aiming to set-up a mouthwatering match against Littler after exiting the last three editions of the World Championship at the first-round stage.
“So I now know I’ll be playing Ryan Meikle in round one at the @OfficialPDC World Championship,” Sherrock wrote on after the draw was made on Monday. “The winner will play a certain Mr Littler in round two. Can’t wait to play at the Palace again.”
Littler, who reached last season’s final as a 16-year-old, will enter the tournament in the second round as the top 32 players in the world don’t have to play in the first round.
And after watching the draw unfold, the 17-year-old told : “If I do come across her, I don’t know what the crowd would be like. Against Fallon, it might be a bit different.
“I don’t think anyone really missed it [when Sherrock reached the third round]. It was incredible to watch.”

He added: “Good luck to them both. It should be a really interesting game, because Ryan’s playing really good, and so is Fallon.
“It won’t be easy [against either of them]. No game will be easy this year, but it’ll be a tough test for both of them facing each other in the first round.
“Either way, I’m very confident, whoever wins. I just can’t wait to get on stage. Ever since the Worlds [last year] it has been crazy – this is where it all started for me. The buzz is there, I can feel it.”
Don’t miss… [QUOTES]
Sherrock is in a relationship with fellow darts star Cameron Menzies after the couple began dating in 2021. And the Queen of the Palace will be breathing a huge sigh of relief in the aftermath of the World Championship draw after admitting she was against her partner.
“I mean, can you imagine the arguments afterwards, regardless of who wins? Before and after, it would just be so nervy,” she explained.
“I don’t think it would be a good game for anyone to watch because we’d both be quite nervy and stuff. I know everyone wants to see it, but there’d be a lot of nerves in that one.
“I don’t think it’s a great thing that everyone wants to watch it. Put me up against any other player, I’ll be fine.”
