During Monday’s visit (November 25) to the show, viewers were greeted with a familiar face beside the 48-year-old broadcaster on the show.
The TV presenter usually co-host’s the afternoon show with , 49, from Monday to Thursday. But this week, competition presenter Andi took over the reins as they welcomed the Prime Minister onto the famous blue sofa.
The dynamic duo grilled the politician over the controversial schemes the Labour government have introduced since he came into power back in July.
The mum-of-two grilled the Labour leader over the “tough” decisions he has made since he stepped into power. He admitted: “It’s tough things to do, especially as the economywas as bad as it was.”

The politician added that he and his government had made “tough but fair” decisions as he continued: “I wouldn’t swap a single day in opposition for a day in power. It’s much better to be in power to be able to do things.”
as she said: “What’s interesting is you said ‘tough but fair’, that’s what you just said. But then there are people, like there are pensioners, who wouldn’t say it was fair.
“There are farmers who wouldn’t say it was fair. There are parents of primary school children who wouldn’t say that it was fair.”
However, many viewers were disappointed that the presenters didn’t ask him some more burning questions.It didn’t take long before they flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their disappointment online.

One user penned: “#ThisMorning why aren’t you asking him about the Daily Mail front page? @Kier_Starmer.” Another added: “#ThisMorning you are not asking the right questions. We should be able to make him answer our questions.”
A third quipped: “Kier Starmer getting grilled by political heavyweights Cat Deeley and Andi Peters #ThisMorning.” A fourth pointed out that the politician even dodged simple questions during the live interview, including sharing his favourite holiday film.
One eagle-eyed viewer argued: “It really is a shame these days that the nature of politics means that Kier Starmer can’t even bring himself to tell us what his favourite Christmas film is… [three embarrassed emojis] #ThisMorning.”
