State pensioners will get a £10 Christmas bonus from the DWP
Millions of state pensioners across the UK will get a from the () within days.
The bonus is a one-off that is paid to people claiming certain benefits before Christmas.
The free £10 will be sent directly to your bank account by the if you are eligible – so you don’t need to apply – and will appear on your bank statement as ‘ XB’.
The normally issues the payment in the first full week of December, meaning it should land in bank accounts next week.
To get the bonus you must live, or be “ordinarily resident” in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar, during the qualifying week, which this year is from December 2 to 8.
