Cypress Mountain
Address: 6000 Cypress Bowl Road, West Vancouver
Distance from Vancouver: 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver
At 242 skiable acres, Cypress Mountain is the biggest ski hill on the North Shore Mountains and offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow tubing and sliding. In total, Cypress has six lifts and 53 runs.
How do I get there by car?
Take the Lions Gate Bridge and follow the signs to Highway 1 (via Taylor Way). Continue west, take Exit #8 onto Cypress Bowl Road. Follow this highway for 13 km for cross-country, snowshoeing and snowtubing. Downhill skiing and snowboarding is two kilometres further.
Winter tires are required when travelling on Cypress Bowl Road.

You’ll have to ski to get there, but in the middle of their cross-country ski trails is Hollyburn Lodge. It has a classic menu of burgers, beer, wine and homemade baking, along with evening appies.
