Jordan Chiles, who is fresh off her gold medal-winning summer at the Paris Olympics, wants to build off her success in gymnastics and get into real estate after she hangs up her leotard.
Chiles, who spoke at the Teen Vogue Summit 2024 in Los Angeles on Saturday, revealed that “a lot of people ask” about her post-gymnastics career move before reportedly explaining why she’d roll with a job in real estate.
“I love building. I love being creative. I love seeing things just be designed in different ways. That’s one thing,” said Chiles, who remarked on “so many things” you can do with that future.
The gymnast, who won gold with her squad during the team event at the summer games, has previously shared her interest in real estate.
Chiles told Rolling Stone magazine in July that it’s one of “a lot of things” on her mind that she wants to do beyond sports.
“I have a very creative mind. So, I definitely think the biggest thing for me is just ‘How can I help my community?’” she said.
She continued, “Real estate is a huge thing that I want to do, being able to give back, whether it’s a charity, whether it’s a foundation that needs help.”
Chiles, in remarks at the summit, declared that she’s “already a brand” and thus wants to continue to “brand herself out.”
“In reality, I think it’s just continuing to make a brand for myself and to make sure everybody understands that Jordan Chiles is Jordan Chiles,” she said, “not just as an athlete, but also as a human.”
