He explained: “To do the burrito method, we place a newly washed t-shirt down on a towel. Then we start by folding the t-shirt over, like so.”

He folded the T-shirt and layered it on top of the towel until it was completely covered.

Next, he applied pressure to the rolled-up towel with his knees to squeeze out the excess water.

The expert added: “The reason we do this is because the towel will absorb all of the water from the burrito. Once we unwrap it, it will be a lot drier.”

If you’re uncomfortable stepping or kneeling on the towel, you could wring out the “burrito” using your hands.

Once the excess water has been squeezed out, the T-shirt or garment can be removed from the towel.

Mr Rydder believes this method “easily reduced drying time from overnight to a couple of hours”.

Homeowners can give their garments an additional dose of warmth by using a hairdryer for five minutes, although this is not essential.

Fans have lauded Mr Rydder’s “burrito method”, with one enthusiast verifying its swift effectiveness, saying: “I used these two methods and my clothes were dry in five minutes.”

Furthermore, another individual hailed Mr Rydder as a “genius”.
