fans “couldn’t cope” as they spotted the sweet gesture extended to her partner during their Paso Doble.
The pair hit the dance floor again on Saturday night (November 23) in an elegant routine that saw Chris swirl Dianne around on the floor with some impressive footwork. But fans were overwhelmed when they realised just how the blind comedian managed one aspect of the complicated routine.
At one point, as Dianne was on the floor and Chris dancing around her, she gathered up her huge skirts and shifted them out of the way so her partner wouldn’t trip.
Pointing out the sweet moment on X, one fan wrote: “ and Dianne Buswell need all our votes tonight, if for nothing else other than when whilst on the floor, Dianne gathered up her skirt so Chris couldn’t trip on it! It’s the little things.”
Someone else agreed: “I noticed that too, was such a smooth movement but so very, very cool.”
Don’t miss…
Dianne shifted her skirts out of the way
“It obviously makes a huge different and is something the other professional dancers don’t even have to give a second thought to, that’s why what Dianne is doing with Chris is beyond amazing!” the original poster replied.
Last night, Dianne’s parents attended the live show all the way from Australia, with Tess Daly introducing them: “Mark and Rina, here they are all the way from Australia. It is so lovely to see you. On behalf of all of us, the warmest welcome to you.”
Dianne’s parents flew to the UK from Australia to see her dance
Mark made the announcement: “Dancing the Paso Doble, here is Chris and our Dianne!” before bursting into tears with pride for his daughter. Tess revealed: “Mark is crying, don’t make me cry, Mark!”
Dianne was similarly emotional at seeing her father, who was meant to travel to the UK last year but sadly was forced to cancel after being diagnosed with cancer, instead remaining at home to undergo chemotherapy.
Dianne and Chris were eventually awarded a combined score of 33 from the judges.
