Brad Pitt ‘collapsed’ on track while filming for his new Formula One movie during the Las Vegas Grand Pri. Fan footage caught a dramatic scene of the new high-octane movie with the actor falling dramatically on to a safety mat after getting out of his car following a heavy crash.
The Hollywood A-lister has become a familiar face at F1 events this season, fully immersing himself in the role for added authenticity.
The film, which sees Pitt team up with F1 legend Lewis Hamilton as a co-producer and features British talent Damson Idris, had social media abuzz. Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, was captured by spectators, hobbling after a staged crash and falling on to the mat.
APX GP, the fictional outfit Pitt represents, even issued a spoof statement about the incident: “During qualifying, Sonny sustained a significant impact requiring immediate medical evaluation,” it stated.
“Incidents of this magnitude are always taken seriously, and Sonny’s health remains our top priority. While Sonny is otherwise stable, he will not participate in tomorrow’s race as he focuses on recovery.

“The entire team stands behind him, and we’ll provide updates when available. Joshua [Pearce, played by Idris] will race solo tomorrow, carrying the team forward.”
The star-studded cast includes Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia, with Joseph Kosinski, famed for directing ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, at the helm.
Hamilton has been closely involved with the film’s production, offering his expertise to ensure authenticity. The film’s producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, recently confessed that Hamilton’s input has led to additional expenses due to necessary alterations.

“Everything that he has brought to this movie, I cannot even express our thanks to him and all the folks from F1 who made this all possible,” Bruckheimer expressed.
He added: “The authenticity that he brings, we just cannot imagine what goes into what a driver does and what the sport brings to an audience.”
Despite the increased costs, Bruckheimer affirmed their commitment to quality, stating: “Sometimes we do not like to hear some of the things he says, because it costs us more money to fix things, but we are all in, we want to make it great, and he is certainly helping us.”
