Dubbed ‘the world’s tastiest laneway’, no visit to Wellington would be complete without visiting Hannahs Laneway, which is the perfect place to taste local flavours and pick up souvenirs to remember your trip.
This colourful street is full of art and home to several local Wellington businesses and eateries including a chocolate factory, fine-dining and even a peanut butter café.
Wellington is also home to a bright red cable car, which runs every 10 minutes and every 15 minutes after 8pm. This 120-year-old funicular railway offers panoramic views of the city.
At the top, there is a large viewing area where you can take an amazing photo of the Cable Car.
The Wellington Cable Car departs from Lambton Quay, the main artery through Wellington’s central business district (CBD).
