An incredible £13 in southern takes passengers on a gorgeous journey through 12 beautiful and .

The route connects Algeciras in Cádiz to Antequera in and covers nearly 124 miles (200km).  

The train passes through 12 amazing towns: Algeciras, San Roque-La Línea, Jimena de la Frontera, Gaucín, Cortes de la Frontera, Jimera de Líbar, Benaoján-Montejaque, Ronda, Almargen-Cañete La Real, Campillo, Bobadilla, and Antequera. 

Along the way, it goes past attractions like the Los Alcornocales Natural Park and the Serranía de Ronda.

is also famous for giving passengers non-stop breathtaking views of Andalusia.

As far as the history is concerned, the dates back to the 19th century and is often called “Mr Henderson’s Railway”.

This is because it was named after British financier Alexander Henderson, who helped fund its construction. 

It was initially built to boost and , with luxury like the Reina Cristina in Algeciras and the Reina Victoria in Ronda constructed to attract wealthy British travellers.  

However, there is much more to the joruney than just the posh hotels.

Near Antequera, passengers can visit El Torcal, which is famous for its rock formations, and the UNESCO-listed Dolmens of Antequera. 

Closer to Algeciras, travellers can find Bolonia dune and the ancient Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia.  

As far as prices are concerned, tickets cost €16.65 (around £13) for a one-way trip, according to Renfe, Spain’s national railway operator. 

Several trains run daily, so it’s easy and affordable for visitors to explore the region.
