When asked by if he wears underwear in the dressing room, in case of a similar situation where a camera caught Tyson, Kyrgios replied: “I actually don’t! I free ball!
“Fun fact for you guys, I free ball when I play tennis, so when I’m playing the Grand Slams, you can just picture me now, free balling… fun fact for you! I need to feel it nice and free down there when I got break points.”

Kyrgios, who has largely missed the past two years through injury, is , but those in attendance and watching worldwide will now be aware that there is nothing underneath his shorts.
’s only ruling for underwear states: “Any undergarments that either are or can be visible during play (including due to perspiration) must also be completely white except for a single trim of colour no wider than one centimetre (10mm), except female players who are allowed to wear solid, mid/dark-coloured undershorts provided they are no longer than their shorts or skirt.”
Kyrgios and his lack of underwear could be making a return to the professional tour at a time when he feels that the game is in need of more polarising figures.
